What Are We Giving Away?
It's Christmas, and that means cozying up by the fire with your favorite beverage and a feel-good holiday romance novel.
Our Facebook group is giving away three Christmas novels by authors you will recognize--especially if you're a fan of Hallmark Christmas movies.
We are giving away three books, one book to each of our three winners.
Hope at Christmas by Nancy Naigle
Summary from book cover: Sydney Ragsdale is looking for a fresh start far away from her controlling ex-husband and the self-doubt that has plagued her since the divorce. Returning to her childhood home in Hopewell, North Carolina, is just what her soul needs. Praying some Christmas magic will follow her, she moves with her daughter to a farmhouse that once belonged to her grandparents. While there, Sydney finds solace working at the Book Bea, her favorite bookstore.
Single dad Kevin MacAlee, Mac to his friends, is the local high school history teacher and baseball coach. He is also the town's best-kept secret--he has been playing Santa since his son was born twelve years ago. Mac loves the enchantment of the season and wants his son to share in his joy.
When a catastrophe forces the Book Bea to close before the end of the year, everyone in the small town is feeling the loss. While Sydney is already off-balance from the bad news, her ex-husband breaks a promise to their daughter that sends her running away and threatens the relationship that she has begun with Mac.
As Sydney and Mac try to figure out what their next steps are together, they soon discover that there's always hope at Christmas.
Nancy Naigle is a bestselling author who has had multiple books made into Hallmark movies, such as Hope at Christmas, two Evergreen Movies, The Secret Ingredient, Christmas Joy, and Sand Dollar Cove.
Christmas Camp by Karen Schaler
Summary from book cover: Haley Hanson's idea of the perfect Christmas is escaping to the Caribbean to work so she can avoid all the traditional Christmas distractions. Over the years, she's sacrificed her person life to climb the corporate ladder at a prestigious Boston advertising agency. Now she just needs to land a coveted Christmas toy company account to make partner. But first her boss thinks she needs a holiday attitude adjustment and ships her off to a Christmas Camp at Holly Peak Inn to help her find her Christmas spirit.
Arriving at the charming mountainside inn, Haley meets the owner's handsome son, Jeff, and feels an instant spark, but resists the attraction, refusing to be distracted from her goal of doing all the required Christmas tasks as fast as possible so she can get back to work.
At first Haley struggles with all the traditional Christmas Camp activities. It's not until she finally allows herself to slow down, live in the moment, and let Christmas back into her heart that she begins to grow closer to Jeff. But when Jeff finds out Haley's come up with a plan to help his dad save the struggling inn while he's been trying to convince him to sell it, their relationship takes a serious holiday hit. Now it will take the magic of the season to bring these two hearts together.
Karen Schaler's Christmas Camp became a 2019 Hallmark movie. Since then, Schaler has written more books, including Christmas Camp Wedding, Finding Christmas, Christmas Ever After, and A Royal Christmas Fairytale.
Alaskan Holiday by Debbie Macomber
Summary from book cover: Before beginning her dream job as sous chef in one of Seattle's hottest new restaurants, Josie Avery takes a summer position cooking at a lakeside lodge in the remote Alaskan town of Ponder. Josie falls for the rustic charms of the local community--including Jack Corcoran, the crotchety keeper of Ponder's famed sourdough starter, and, in particular, the quiet and intense Palmer Saxon, a famed master swordsmith.
Josie and Palmer become close during the long Alaskan summer days, but Josie knows that, come fall, she'll be returning to reality and the career she's worked so hard for. Palmer, on the other hand, would like nothing better than to make Josie his wife and to keep her in Ponder. But Josie can't imagine abandoning her mother back in the Emerald City and sacrificing her career to stay in this isolated town--not even for a man she's quickly coming to love.
Fate has other plans. Josie misses the last boat out of town before winter sets in, stranding her in Ponder and putting her dream job at risk. As the holidays approach, Josie and Palmer must grapple with the complications that arise when dreams confront reality, and the Christmas magic that can happen when they put their faith in love.
Debbie Macomber is a prolific writer, and several of her novels have become Hallmark movies, including three Mrs. Miracle stories, Trading Christmas, Starry Night, Dashing Through the Snow, and the Cedar Cove TV series.
